Tip for Hairy Guys - Trimming Chest Hair
Chest hair is intrinsically identified with a stereotypical man and virility, and many a young man can't wait until he begins actually growing some. However, there are times when chest hair begins to grow beyond what a man might want it to. The general rule is that if chest hair has begun poking up and over the collar of a well-fitting t-shirt in significant amounts, trimming it would be a good idea. While getting rid of all of the chest hair present is an idea, it is not recommended. Not only will it itch a great deal when growing back, but it will likely undermine the look that the man is going for. The key is to appear manly, while also appearing groomed.
It is a good idea to begin by trimming off those hairs which come up above the line of the collar. This can be done on the shortest setting of the trimmer. Next, there are two choices. One is to start at the bottom the chest hair and slowly "fade" it upwards so that the change in hair length looks more natural. This takes time and a steady hand with a trimmer.
The second choice is to simply trim of the offending hairs and be done with it, but check to make sure that the trimming hasn't resulted in a obvious "cut line" across the chest. The idea is to produce a natural, rather than artificial, look. If an obvious line is left, it may require some randomized trimming to produce a more natural look.
